Xpress - Neese Notes

Divide and conquer – That was the initial plan for the weekend. I (Neese) headed to Dayton and Chester went to Pikeville. We got the first part of the strategy right, but the conquering needs some work. We both had trouble in a couple of the main events.

The weather this weekend was not great for traveling – lots of ice on my way up and back from the races. On the trip to Dayton, I did an interview with Billy at RacerX for their privateer column. Thanks for the support. http://www.racerxill.com/articles/detail/1516/privateer-profile-jim-neese.aspx

I got on the podium twice in Dayton with a 1 st in the Lites class Friday and a 3 rd in the Arenacross class Saturday. SPEED channel was at the races filming which was awesome because Gauldy and Glenn always do a great job.

Saturday there was a Red Flag and I was knocked out in the second start. Tried to make my way back through the pack, but couldn’t do it.

Track conditions on Friday were wet and rutty. Saturday the track crew limed the track and dried it out which helped with the ruts.

The Dayton facility was a cool place with a great pit area for the riders. Crowds on Friday were a little light, but Saturday attendance was good.

I helped with the Toyota Tire Toss and helped out with the t-shirt promotion with Miss Arenacross.

The Xpress is headed to Louisville next weekend. Split weekends are good for traveling, but causing some confusion for fans and frustration for riders.
