ELLENTON, Fla. - Parity has played a significant role in the early part of AMSOIL Arenacross, featuring Ricky Carmichael's Road to Supercross. A total of four different riders have claimed overall victories through the first six nights of racing, while five different riders have earned at least one Main Event win. As the championship makes its anticipated return to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, both the Arenacross Class and Eastern Regional Arenacross Lites Class title fights have intensified heading into the fifth round. Back-to-Back nights of action inside Mohegan Sun Arena kick off on Friday, February 6, and continue on Saturday, February 7, beginning at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET each night.

At the previous stop of the season last Saturday in Nashville, Tennesee, Team Babbitt's Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Matt Goerke endured his worst outing of 2015. The first-year full-time competitor entered the night as the Arenacross Class points leader, thanks to an incredibly consistent start to the season in which he finished inside the top 10 in every Main Event. Misfortune and hard luck defined Goerke's night inside Bridgestone Arena, posting finishes outside the top 10 in each Main Event, during which he found himself on the ground on multiple occasions. Goerke was resilient and salvaged as many points as he could, but ultimately his teammate Jacob Hayes took control of the championship standings following a runner-up effort.

Leading the way in Nashville was Team Babbitt's third rider, Chris Blose. Another first-year full-time competitor, Blose was as close to perfect as a rider can be in AMSOIL Arenacross, earning maximum points en route to victory by taking the checkered flag in both Arenacross Class Main Events as well as the RMATV/MC Head 2 Head Challenge. It was Blose's second overall win of the season and after facing adversity and missing a night of action due to injury, the Arizona native is back on track.

A total of nine points separate Hayes and Goerke in the championship standings, while Husqvarna TiLUBE TUF Racing's Kyle Regal is coming on strong in third, 19 points back. Regal has stepped up as the primary challenger to the success Team Babbitt's has achieved this season and he is arguably the hottest rider in the premier class heading into Wilkes-Barre. By virtue of his triumphant night, Blose jumped from seventh to fourth in the standings and despite missing some competition, is still a manageable 39 points out of the lead.

While Hayes, Regal and Blose have enjoyed overall wins this season; Goerke is still in search of his first checkered flag of 2015. After fighting his way through a tough night last weekend, there arguably isn't a rider in the field more motivated than Goerke to break through for victory. Statistically he has been the rider to beat through the first four rounds, and losing control of the red number plate as the points leader could be what drives Goerke to the front of the field this weekend.

Much like their counterparts in the Arenacross Class, the title hopefuls in the Eastern Regional Arenacross Lites Class Championship are setting the stage for a thrilling battle for the trophy. Entering the previous round A&Y Racing's Daniel Herrlein positioned himself as the points leader thanks to unmatched consistency in the early part of the season. He took control of the Main Event in Nashville, looking to build on the slim three-point lead he held on Spinechillers Racing KTM's Dave Ginolfi, but crashed out of the lead just before halfway. That opened the door for Ginolfi to seize the moment and he did just that, taking his first win of the season and control of the championship. Herrlein rebounded nicely, climbing from outside the top 10 and into fifth, and as a result of his come-from-behind effort he sits just a single point behind Ginolfi heading into Wilkes-Barre.

The fifth round of AMSOIL Arenacross kicks off in Wilkes-Barre this Friday, February 6, inside Mohegan Sun Arena, and continues Saturday, February 7. Racing begins at 5 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET.
