Gavin Faith on his way to a 3rd overall in New orleans

The track in New Orleans was knarley as the track crew stepped up the difficulty with this weekend being the first race in the final race for the championship.  The weekend started out well with both riders qualify to the main easily in their heat race finishing 2nd and 3rd .   The head to head also went well with both riders making it to the final round with Kyle edging out his teammate for the extra point.

Kyle on his way to a 4th in second main event The first main started with Gavin in 4th and Kyle in 5th.  Kyle made some passes and was in second at the halfway point and gaining quickly on Blose in 1st.  A bobble in the extra tough whoop section claimed Regal but he got back up and finished a respectable 8th .  Gavin rounded out the podium with a 3rd.   In the second main Blose again pulled the holeshot, but this time he had Faith on his rear fender. Gavin was putting pressure on Blose when a lapper moved over on him in the whoops causing him to go down.  Again we were lucky there was no injury and Gavin ended up with a fifth. Kyle took his bad gate pick and made it work with a 4th in the second main.  Gavin ended up 3rd overall via a 3-5 finish and Kyle 4th overall via his 8-4 finish.  That leaves us 3rd and 4th overall in the dash for the championship.

Kyle made this fans birthday a day to remember with a jersey and a picture he won’t forget soon.

Next round is in Austin TX stop by and say hi if you’re in the area. The racing action is really starting to heat up.
