Teddy Maier wins AMA Arenacross Lite North
AURORA, Ill., January 5, 2007 – The Toyota AMA Arenacross Series rolled into Grand Rapids, Mich., tonight, and the receptive Michigan race rans were treated to some excellent racing. When the dust settled, it was Honda's Brock Sellards atop the podium after a very close race, with Teddy Maier following in second, and Matt Barnes rounding up third.
In the Lites event, Maier went wire to wire for the win and all the action was behind him. Grand Rapids local, Nick Vaughn, put on a show for his home town crowd and took second. Illinois resident Kevin Markwardt, benefactor of a mishap by Kody Molitor in the final stages of the race, placed third.
