Kevin Johnson Outlasts Reynard
Arenacross Media
Jim Neese Dominates Toyota Arenacross Lites North

Untitled Document

AURORA, Ill., January 19, 2007Keith Johnson shot his Bobby J’s Yamaha off the gate for the holeshot but would soon be passed by his brother Kevin on his Team Faith Yamaha.  Kevin had clear track for several laps while Keith held off Okalahoma rider Robbie Reynard.  It was not until the half way mark that Reynard was able to pass Keith Johnson.  By then it was too late to mount a comeback.  Defending National Champion Chad Johnson showed up in Dayton with a pulled leg muscle but was able to win his heat race and run 3rd for most of the main event.  It was on the final two laps the series points leader Danny Smith was able to get his Cernic’s Honda past Chad.

The Toyota AMA Arenacross Lites North saw Jim Neese lead from wire to wire for the win.  Cory Green was able to overcome a late race crash to finish 2nd ahead of Cody Molitor.

The Toyota AMA Arenacross will continue in the Nutter Center in Dayton, OH tomorrow at 7:30 PM.
