RACE DAY INFORMATION
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY - PRO CLASS The Arenacross Championship consists of 19 races in 12 different cities touring across the United States in 3 months. A total of $279,000 in purse money awarded throughout the series plus a $100,000 championship bonus awarded to the top 10 in points. The Arenacross Series is divided into two classes; the Arenacross Lites Class consists of local talent and up and coming riders, the Arenacross Class is made up of some of the most experienced motocross racers and upcoming stars. Among these riders are past champions such as Jeff Gibson, Chad Johnson, Josh Demuth and Robbie Reynard.

ARENACROSS CLASS:
At each event the AMA Arenacross Class will pay a purse of $7,050 - $9,800. Championship points will be awarded each night for the AMA Arenacross Class main event according to the point structure, and a champion will be crowned at the end of the series.
AMA ARENACROSS LITES CLASS:
The AMA Arenacross Lites Class is intended for local and area expert riders to test their skills on the challenging AMA Arenacross tracks. The AMA Arenacross Lites Class will pay a nightly purse of $1,200.
The AMA Arenacross Lites Class will have 2 regions which contain an East and West Championship Series. Points will be issued and a champion in both regions will be announced and receive a free entry card for the 2011 season, 4 event tickets to (1) supercross event and an AMA number one plate for that region. Along with the prizes listed above, purse money and factory contingency money are available for all rounds.

AMA ARENACROSS SERIES RULES
The AMA Arenacross Lites and AMA Arenacross Class is governed by the 2010 Supercross Pro Rule Book. The following supplemental rules apply:
SOUND REQUIREMENTS:  Per SAE J1287 standard The maximum sound limit is set at: Max. 99 dB/a for motorcycles with a 2-stroke engine Max. 97 dB/a for motorcycles with a 4-stroke engine 2 additional dB/a will be allowed in post race inspection.
EQUIPMENT: A motorcycle may be entered by the same rider in multiple classes. Approved equipment for the AMA Arenacross Lites and AMA Arenacross Class is in accordance with the AMA Regulations for motorcycle homologationand must retain stock bore and stroke.

RACE NUMBER: The top 20 riders from the previous year's points standings are required to run the number that they earned unless a rider has earned an AMA national lifetime number. All other numbers are reserved on a first come first serve basis. Sign up for an official registered 2010 Arenacross race number when you purchase an annual series credential. QUALIFYING: For Arenacross qualifying consists of Timed Qualifying Practice, Two Heat Races, One LCQ and One Final (Main Event). Race formats with the set laps will be distributed at each event.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to compete in the AMA Arenacross Class or the AMA Arenacross Lites Class, riders must be 14 years of age or older on the date of the event, and hold an "A" rider classification from a recognized AMA District or Sanctioned program. A pro license is not required to race the Arenacross or Lites Class. All participants in the AMA Arenacross and Lites Class must hold a current AMA membership.
Riders who finished in the top 10 in points from the previous years AMA Arenacross Class, Supercross, or Supercross Lites class are not eligible to compete in the AMA Arenacross Lites Class at the first event of the series. Beginning with round 1-night 2 of the 2010 series, the top 10 riders in points in the AMA Arenacross Class, Supercross Class or Supercross Lites Class are not eligible to compete in the AMA Arenacross Lites Class. A rider is also not eligible to compete in the Lites class if the rider has won an AMA Arenacross Class main event in the current or previous season.
Policy: All race personnel, officials, riders, mechanics and anyone associated with riders and photographers must not consume or be under the influence of intoxicants or drugs that could affect their normal mental or physical ability. Besides affecting the safety of the meet, any such use is inconsistent with the concept of good sportsmanship and is harmful to the sport of motorcycling. Anyone found to be in violation of these policies is subject to disciplinary actions.
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL POLICY: All race personnel, officials, riders, mechanics and anyone associated with riders and photographers must not consume or be under the influence of intoxicants or drugs that could affect their normal mental or physical ability. Besides affecting the safety of the meet, any such use is inconsistent with the concept of good sportsmanship and is harmful to the sport of motorcycling. Anyone found to be in violation of these policies is subject to disciplinary actions and can lead to forfeiture of AMA license or event credential.

REGISTRATION:
PRE-REGISTRATION: Register online at Arenacross.com. Save $10 on entry fee costs, and reserve your riding numbers. Earliest postmark gets number reserved. Also, you will be listed in the official souvenir program along with sponsors.
PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 9 am CST the Monday before the event.
INTERNET: Log-on to Arenacross.com and click on Rider Registration. NO ONLINE SERVICE FEES!
POST-REGISTRATION: Post Registration is available onsite at an extra cost. For times check pro or amateur schedule sections. Registration will be in the back of the building by the rider entrance. Post registration costs are $60 per class per day.

CONTINGENCY PROGRAM: The Arenacross Series is expected to have millions in purse, contingency and awards offered for all competitors whether you are a beginner or expert. In order to receive contingencies riders must fulfill all sponsor rules and regulations. In addition some contingency sponsors may require you to fill out applications prior to the rider's first race. Please check all contingency guidelines on arenacross.com. Contingency forms will be available at the events and must be filled out in order to receive payback. For more information log onto arenacross.com and check out all the purse and contingency offered! 3- DAY PIT PASS: Three-day pit pass adult only $50 and child $30, available online or onsite at the event.

AGE LIMITS: A rider's age as of January 1, 2010 will determine his/her age for the series. However, a rider may move to the next higher age class (within the youth division only) if he/she will be eligible to do so at any time during the year, but once a rider moves to the higher age class in AMA or non-AMA competition, he/she may not move back to the lower age class. Riders are encouraged to determine at the beginning of the points season which age class they will participate in for the points season. Points earned in lower age class will not transfer to the higher age class.
After the Arenacross Series is over you may move up to the next level and still qualify for the age/skill level class at the Amateur National Arenacross Championships at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 9, 2010.
PIT PASSES: A driver's license or valid photo ID is required to purchase a pit pass. No one is allowed in the pit area unless with a rider. If under the age of 18 your parent MUST sign the release forms and remain present with the minor all day. Your parent must be present with a driver's license or valid photo ID. A pit pass allows you access to the pits as well as the rider seating section. (A pit pass does not guarantee you a seat in rider seating for any reason).

QUALIFYING POSITIONS: The number of qualifying positions out of the heats and semis that make it to the main event is determined by the number of entries in your particular class.
MINICYCLE: All minicycle class machines must be run in the class for which they were originally manufactured, (excluding super mini and schoolboy).

PRACTICE: At registration you will be given a list of general rules, practice schedule, and practice tickets. It is your responsibility to read and understand the general rules and schedule. Amateurs; One practice per class. Violators will be handled at discretion of the referee. NO LATE PRACTICE! NO REFUNDS ONCE PRACTICE BEGINS!
SPECTATOR TICKETS: Tickets will allow you into the facility at the following times (times may vary depending on venue): Friday and Saturday - 6:30pm and Sunday - 8:00am.
TRACK PARTY: Meet your favorite arenacross stars, walk the track and get an autograph. An empty can of Monster Energy will get you access to an arenacross track party every Saturday from 5 pm - 6 pm. Check arenacross.com for details.
