RACE INFORMATION - SUNDAY

IT'S EASY TO GET INVOLVED IN THE ARENACROSS SERIES.
Whether you're a professional, intermediate, novice or beginner rider, Arenacross has 26 classes geared just for your skill level. The beginner class is open to first time racers and anyone with less than six months motocross experience. AMA membership is required; all you need is a bike and proper gear. Arenacross Series is expected to have millions in purse, contingency and awards offered for all competitors whether you are a beginner or expert.

Each AMA Arenacross event will feature two competition classes, Arenacross and Arenacross Lites that will compete for purse awards on both Friday and Saturday night.

Sunday will consist of Amateur National Arenacross Championship qualifiers featuring 22 classes of youth and amateur riders competing for awards, contingency and an opportunity to compete for an AMA National Arenacross Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada at Sam Boyd Stadium May 9th, 2010.

**This class competes on Friday and Saturday only.

A motor cycle may be entered by the same rider in multiple classes.

BEGINNER CLASS: Riders with 6 months or less motocross experience. Beginner class cannot double the "Large Catapult". Riders attempting to ride the beginner class who have raced more than 6 months will be automatically advanced to the next skill level. The beginner class will not receive points for the Amateur National Arenacross Championships.

EXPERT CLASS:
The Expert class is 100% payback based on number of entries. The top 8 in this class at the Amateur National Arenacross Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada May 9th 2010 will be eligible to receive a Supercross Lites endorsement.

If you currently hold an AMA pro license or are in the top ten of the Arenacross Class you are not eligible ride in any Amateur class including the Sunday Expert class.

If you do compete in the AMA Arenacross Class on Friday or Saturday you are restricted to the expert class on Sunday.

RULES

The Amateur National Arenacross Championships and Qualifiers are governed by the 2009 AMA Racing Rulebook.

The following supplemental rules apply.

Warning Flags
Stationary red Flag: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation on or near the track
Passing is allowed

Exercise Caution
Waving red Flag: indicates serous hazard on or near the track
Passing is allowed
Proceed with extreme caution

Race Finishes: Races are officially ended for all contestants at the completion of the lap in which the checkered flag is displayed to the winner
Riders will be credited with all laps they complete during a race unless a penalty has been assessed.
Riders who do not complete the checkered flag lap will be scored in order of finish and laps completed.

Eligibility: If you currently hold an AMA pro license or are in the top ten of the Arenacross Class you are not eligible to ride in any Amateur class including the Sunday Expert class.
If you do compete in the AMA Arenacross Class on Friday or Saturday you are restricted to the expert class on Sunday. A rider is also not eligible to compete on Sunday if the rider has won an AMA Arenacross Class main event in the current or previous season.

At registration riders will be given a list of general rules, practice schedule, and practice ticket(s). It is the rider's responsibility to read and understand the general rules and schedule. Violations will be handled at the discretion of the referee. NO LATE PRACTICE! NO REFUNDS ONCE PRACTICE BEGINS!

ID REQUIRED:
All participants must present a driver's license or valid photo ID at event registration. If under the age of 18 your parent MUST sign release forms and remain present with the minor all day. Your parent must present a driver's license or valid photo ID. NO EXCEPTIONS!

AGE LIMITS:
AGE LIMITS: A rider's age as of January 1, 2010 will determine his/her age for the series. However, a rider may move to the next higher age class (within the youth division only) if he/she will be eligible to do so at any time during the year, but once a rider moves to the higher age class in AMA or non-AMA competition, he/she may not move back to the lower age class. Riders are encouraged to determine at the beginning of the points season which age class they will participate in for the points season. Points earned in lower age class will not transfer to the higher age class.

After the Arenacross Series is over you may move up to the next level and still compete at the age/skill level class that you qualified to race at the Amateur National Arenacross Championships at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 9, 2010.

PIT PASS:
A driver's license or valid photo ID is required to purchase a pit pass. No one is allowed in the pit area unless with a rider. If under the age of 18 your parent MUST sign the release forms and remain present with the minor all day. Your parent must be present with a driver's license or valid photo ID. A pit pass allows you access to the pits as well as the rider seating section. (A pit pass does not guarantee you a seat in rider seating for any reason).

Pit passes are available online at ARENACROSS.COM and onsite at promoter will call.

QUALIFYING POSITIONS:
The number of qualifying positions out of the heats and semis that make it to the main event is determined by the number of entries in your particular class.

MINICYCLE:
All minicycle class machines must be run in the class for which they were originally manufactured, (excluding super mini and schoolboy).

PRACTICE:
At registration you will be given a list of general rules, practice schedule, and practice tickets. It is your responsibility to read and understand the general rules and schedule. Amateurs; One practice per class. Violators will be handled at discretion of the referee. NO LATE PRACTICE! NO REFUNDS ONCE PRACTICE BEGINS!

SPECTATOR TICKETS:
Tickets will allow you into the facility at the following times Friday and Saturday 6:30pm Sunday 11:00am times could vary depending on venue

AMA MEMBERSHIP:
AMA membership is required to compete in Arenacross and proof of membership must be presented at registration. PRE-REGISTRATION: Register online at Arenacross.com. Save $10 on entry fee costs, and reserve your riding numbers. Earliest postmark gets number reserved. Also, you will be listed in the official souvenir program along with sponsors.

PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 9 am CST the Monday before the event.

INTERNET: Log-on to Arenacross.com and click on Rider Registration, then choose Registration. NO ONLINE SERVICE FEES!

YOUTH/AMATEUR
Youth/Amateur riders compete on Sunday with awards to the top 10 in each class.

3- DAY PIT PASS:
Three-day pit pass adult only $50 and child $30, available online or onsite at the event.

CONTINGENCY PROGRAM: The Arenacross Series is expected to have millions in purse, contingency and awards offered for all competitors whether you are a beginner or expert. In order to receive contingencies riders must fulfill all sponsor rules and regulations. In addition some contingency sponsors may require you to fill out applications prior to the rider's first race. Please check all contingency guidelines on arenacross.com. Contingency forms will be available at the events and must be filled out in order to receive payback. For more information log onto arenacross.com and check out all the purse and contingency offered! Let's support the companies that post contingency by displaying their logo on your bike or apparel.

SPECTATOR TICKETS: Tickets will allow you into the facility at the following times (times may vary depending on venue): Friday and Saturday - 6:30pm and Sunday - 8:00am.

TRACK PARTY: Meet your favorite arenacross stars, walk the track and get an autograph. An empty can of Monster Energy will get you access to an arenacross track party every Saturday from 5 pm - 6 pm. Check arenacross.com for details.

AMATEUR NATIONAL ARENACROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS:
At this year's Amateur National Arenacross Championships, each of the respective class champions will be recognized as an official AMA National Champion and awarded the ceremonial AMA National Champion Number One Plate. To recognize the 2010 AMA Amateur National Arenacross Champions, the AMA will host these distinguished racers from each class at its annual, year-end award ceremony.

The 2010 season will qualify 420 of the best amateur riders in the nation to participate in the 10th annual Amateur National Arenacross Championships. The top four riders from 21 different classes and five different regions will make their way to Las Vegas, NV May 9th 2010 at Sam Boyd Stadium to race in the Amateur National Arenacross Championships the day following Monster Energy® Supercross Finals featuring Chad Reed, James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto.

Also new to the 2009 Amateur National Arenacross Championships is an opportunity for the top eight finishing riders in the Expert Class to receive an AMA Supercross Lites endorsement. The AMA Supercross Lites class endorsement grants these riders the opportunity to compete in the 2011 Monster Energy® Supercross Lites Championship.
