WILLOH CLINCHES CHAMPIONSHIP IN GREENSBORO 02/26/05 GREENSBORO, NC -- There was a chance coming into this weekend that Jeff Willoh would take the title this Friday or Saturday, but nothing was set in stone. Early on Jake Weimer, was trailing Willoh by nearly 90 points, posing a threat to a definite win. Going into Saturday, Weimer and Brian Stone, who was riding in Wilkes Barre this weekend, had just enough push to keep Willoh from clinching. It was Saturday during the Mains that it became evident Willoh would be Arenacross Champion. He took the 125cc Main both nights, and the 250cc Main on Saturday.
BRRR IN WILKES-BARRE 02/26/05 Arenacross slid into Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA, dispite the cold, icy conditions of the Northeast last weekend. Wet dirt required the track crew to add two palettes of lime to the dirt to dry out track in order for the Arenacross riders to go racing on Friday and Satuday night. But veteran racer John Dowd decided to return to racing, he isn't about to let a little cold stand in his way.
